A Bridgeport grandmother is sharing her story of diabetes to help spread prevention awareness.
November is Diabetes Awareness Month and great grandmother Marjorie Mcallister says she wants other people to know that not only is diabetes preventable, it’s reversible.
Mcallister says she can recall the days when she had to take insulin to keep her blood sugar stable, but all of that changed when she learned about a Bridgeport nonprofit called Monitor My Health.
